Assembly Bill 80
(2019) created the Department of Sentencing Policy which will house and staff the Nevada Sentencing Commission. The Department assists the Commission in making data-driven policy recommendations concerning sentencing and corrections.
Assembly Bill 236
(2019) tasks the Nevada Sentencing Commission with tracking and assessing outcomes resulting from the enactment of Assembly Bill 236 (2019) and the Department will assist the Commission in carrying out this mandate.
