Victoria Gonzalez

Victoria Gonzalez

Executive Director
Victoria Gonzalez is the first Executive Director of the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy. Prior to being appointed, she served as deputy legislative counsel at the Legislative Counsel Bureau during the 2017 and 2019 Legislative Sessions where she assisted in drafting criminal law legislation and aided other LCB staff in supporting the Advisory Commission on the Administration of Justice and the Nevada Sentencing Commission when it was housed in the legislative branch as an interim committee. She also taught for three years in the Clark County School District. Victoria is a graduate of the Law School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she was awarded a certificate in criminal law. She also has a master’s degree in Education from National University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah.
Jorja Powers

Jorja Powers

Manager of Policy Analysis
Jorja Powers is the Policy Analyst for the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy. She supports the agency through research projects in legal and policy issues and trends regarding criminal justice throughout Nevada and the nation. Preceding this post, Jorja served at the Nevada Department of Corrections as the Offender Management Division Administrator after 12 years with the agency promoting through the Correctional Casework Specialist series. She also has a background working in education and the non-profit arena. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Education from California State University, Chico.
Mo Cosio

Mo Cosio

Management Analyst II
Erasmo “Mo” Cosio is the Management Analyst II for the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy. He supports the agency with data analysis to provide insights on trends using diverse investigative methods to review numbers and come to relevant conclusions. Prior to this role here, he was with Department of Welfare, and then he was with Aging and Disability Services Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. When he not analyzing data, he is riding his motorcycle.
Connie Liu

Connie Liu

Management Analyst I
Connie Liu is the Management Analyst I for the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy. She collects, reviews, and analyzes data to support  insightful  study of the data where the agency can develop  relevant policy assessments. Before this role here, she was in the logistics field as a sales executive. Then she got a career opportunity here in the Department of Sentencing Policy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time at Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area.
Jose Sepulveda

Jose Sepulveda

Administrative Assistant III
Jose Sepulveda is the Administrative Assistant III for the Nevada Department of Sentencing Policy. Prior to joining NDSP Jose worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles in the Titles Division. Jose also currently works for Carson City Recreational Department where he supervises the recreational sports in the community. When Jose isn't working he likes to visit different national parks and go snowboarding.
